Simultaneous interpreting

This is when the interpreter speaks at exactly the same time as the source-language speaker.Previous knowledge of the subject matter is essential. To this end, our interpreters thoroughly prepare for each assignment using any documents provided by our customers (presentation files, in-house glossaries…).

This kind of interpreting is perfect for congress meetings and/or conferences as it enables people to listen to a speech without any time lag whatsoever. Our interpreters all have many years of experience behind them. They work in pairs so that one can take over from the other whenever necessary, and are either seated in a dedicated booth or use a mobile sound system with microphone and earpieces.

Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting is ideal when working with smaller assemblies and for shorter sessions. With this kind of interpreting, the interpreter waits until the speaker has finished a sentence before translating the information. This means that the time required for the meeting is twice as long. Depending on the event in question, we recommend one or two interpreters to ensure optimal service quality.

Liaison interpreting or whispering

This is just what you need for individual meetings (negotiations, factory visits, audits…).  The interpreter stays close to the person and whispers the translation as the meeting takes place.  There is no need for equipment and one interpreter alone is enough for this kind of assignment.

Rates:
